Bridgeland® Receive Eight Awards. The Woodlands® Takes Home “Master Planned Community of the Year”
The Woodlands and Cypress, TX (October 16, 2015) – The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) announced today that its two Houston master planned communities -The Woodlands® and Bridgeland® - garnered nine prestigious awards at the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Annual Gala held on Saturday, October 3, 2015. The GHBA hosts its Houston’s Best PRISM Awards competition each year to identify the real estate industry’s top builders, developers and marketers. Upon entering, contestants are evaluated, judged and ultimately selected by industry professionals from across the U.S.

The Woodlands was recognized as “Master Planned Community of the Year,” the GHBA’s most coveted award. HOUSTON’S FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH TO OPEN CYPRESS CAMPUS IN BRIDGELAND®
Houston’s First Baptist Church Second Place of Worship to be Located in Bridgeland
Cypress, TX (October 9, 2015) – Bridgeland, a development of The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC), announced today that Houston’s First Baptist Church has purchased 32.4 acres for a new home for its Cypress Campus located in Bridgeland, an award-winning master planned community.
Houston’s First Baptist Church will be situated off the Grand Parkway in Bridgeland. The initial phase will include a 1,300-seat Worship Center with accompanying Life Bible Study space for infants through adults. The church will consist of a total of 100,000 square feet.

The current Cypress Campus gathers on Sundays at 9:30am and 11:00am for both worship services and Life Bible Studies at Smith Middle School at 10300 Warner Smith Boulevard and Fry Road. The Cypress Campus Ministry Center, located at 22220 Northwest Freeway and Telge Road, provides office and weekday gathering space.

Construction on the new campus for Houston’s First Baptist Church will begin in January 2016 with completion slated for February 2017. The design and architecture of the building will be complementary to the aesthetics of the Katy Prairie. This is the second place of worship to open in Bridgeland. The first place of worship to open was The Foundry, a United Methodist Congregation, on Fry Road.
